Long history of academic excellence


The establishment of Jagiellonian University in Toruń dates back to 2003. It was founded by a consortium of academics and professionals from the business sector with the aim of creating a modern higher education institution. The university was established in response to the increasing demand for a professionally oriented university that offers attractive and practical education. The university's well-prepared study programs and highly qualified faculty members have enabled it to obtain accreditation from the Polish Ministry of Education and Science. Consequently, the university has the authority to confer bachelor's and master's degrees in various fields of study.

Currently, Jagiellonian University in Toruń boasts a team of over 40 academic staff members who hold prestigious academic titles such as professor, associate professor, or Ph.D., and it also benefits from the expertise of professionals from diverse professional backgrounds.

Accreditations



Accreditation in USA

In 2021, the university obtained American accreditation from AAHEA (American Association for Higher Education and Accreditation) in the USA. All professional management education programs (MBA, MSc., LL.M., DBA) are now accredited by AAHEA, one of the oldest organizations granting accreditation to universities in the United States. The faculty and educational programs have undergone a rigorous approval process to ensure the quality of the programs we offer.

Since 2001, the university has accredited in Poland and has received accreditation from the Polish Ministry of Science and Higher Education ("Ministerstwo Edukacji i Nauki"), which also oversees the university. With this achievement, the university can continue to provide students with a quality education, engage in meaningful collaborations, and contribute to the educational landscape of Poland.

Our Managerial programs are accredited according to the German Laws. Jagiellonian University in Torun, Faculty of Administration and Economic Studies in Uherske Hradiste is registered in the German Higher Education Database Anabin with the designation H+.

Since 2018, the university has been accredited by the Ministry of Education, Youth and Sports of the Czech Republic. Assoc. Prof RNDr. PhDr. Oldrich Hajek, Ph.D., MBA

Dean of the faculty


Professor Oldrich Hajek earned his degrees from Ostrava University and has been actively involved in regional development and strategic planning ever since. Throughout his career, he has held various academic and leadership positions in prestigious institutions. He is the author or co-author of more than 150 scientific articles and has successfully led more than 40 projects with various focuses. Additionally, he is multilingual, speaking English, German, Polish, and Chinese. His extensive professional experience has also enabled him to build valuable connections across Central Europe.

Ing. Jana Novosakova, Ph.D., MBA

Vice-Dean for study affairs


At the faculty is responsible for the management of the Department of Public Administration and Regional Development and serves as the Vice-Dean for study affairs. Jana Novosakova focuses her research on the issues of company and institutional location factors in the region. She also specializes in public procurement and other matters related to European integration.

PhDr. Ing. Blanka Vytrhlikova, MBA

Head of the Study Department


During her professional career, Blanka Vytrhlikova has held positions as a Chief Project Manager and Financial Manager in various institutions. She specializes in Structural and Investment Funds of the European Union, as well as economics and budgeting. At the faculty, she also oversees communication with students and the student information system.

Doc. RNDr. Ales Ruda, Ph.D.

Quality Manager of Studies


Ales Ruda is a highly specialized professional in the fields of geographic information systems, computer science, and systems engineering. He has earned his habilitation from the University of Pardubice's Faculty of Economics and Administration. Ales Ruda specializes in strategic planning and spatial decision-making in his work. Additionally, he is responsible for assessing the quality of dissertations and overseeing the educational process at the faculty.
